    Your hallway sets the tone for the whole home, so don’t overlook it.

    For the latest Aston @stonebridgehome hallway, we’ve kept the styling beautifully simple: a classic @thelibracompany console table, an oversized rectangular mirror and carefully chosen accessories to create a space that feels calm, luxurious and considered.

    A few hallway styling tips we always recommend:

    • Choose a console that suits the scale of the space rather than filling every inch.
    • An oversized mirror can instantly make a hallway feel larger and bring more light into the space.
    • Keep accessories edited. A few beautiful pieces will always have more impact than lots of smaller objects.
    • Think practically too. We’ve used a bespoke radiator cover here, creating a smart little surface for keys and everyday essentials while disguising the radiator beautifully.
    • Add height with lamps, artwork, mirrors or branches to draw the eye upwards.

    The best hallways aren’t just beautiful. They work hard too. X

    Who says dark interiors are only for teenagers?

    This dramatic dark floral mural, deep painted walls and a black ceiling the perfect magical room for younger siblings.

    Our tips for getting dark interiors right:

    • Go all in. Don’t be afraid of taking the dark colour onto the ceiling. It creates a cocooning, immersive feel and makes the mural feel even more dramatic.

    • Choose a mural with movement. A large-scale floral design adds depth and interest, rather than allowing the darker walls to feel flat.

    • Balance the darkness. Bring in lighter bedding, natural textures and soft furnishings to stop the room feeling heavy.

    • Layer the lighting. Wall lights, bedside lamps and softer accent lighting are essential in a dark room and completely change the atmosphere.

    A dark chocolate brown velvet headboard, designed and made completely bespoke for this top-floor master bedroom.

    With eaves either side, a standard headboard simply wouldn’t work. So we designed one specifically to follow the shape of the room, fitting perfectly beneath the sloping ceiling.

    The result? Rich, cocooning and completely tailored to the space.
